Airbrush painting balsa.

I am working on a PBY Catalina. I am using sanding sealer to get the smoothest finish possible. Do I need to use primer over the sanding sealer Before using Tamiya acrylic? Any problems with adherence?
Any tips on the junction between coverings and paint? Over lap? Which one first?

I would take a piece of scrap use your sanding sealer put some paint on it let dry dunk it in water. I don`t see any issues unless your sanding sealer is water base and paint is oil base, even then if real light coats are put on is should work.

Hi there. How did you get on with painting?

I’m researching how to approach sealing and painting a balsa Aerovan I’m finishing off.
