Interesting choice - I've found PVA based glues don't work well for me at least on foam. Maybe you are doing something different from me.
Packing it in tight!
I also used to hate polycrilic. Now I hate polycrilic even more. But hey, it works wonders making literally anything that's even a little absorbent waterproof until the heat death of the universe...
I like the color of the paper. Maybe I'll give it a few more coats of polycrilic and then sand it down real smooth and clear coat it. If only it had the wood grain it would look like stained mahogany like you see on old sailboats.
I've just made a canopy for my scratch built Sea Fury. The very definition of scratch built - done by eye with no plans. Hope it will fit - haven't got the fuselage with me at the moment. 😲

I've got a moulded canopy (bought - spare for a commercial kit) but I'm now saving that for V1.1 after flying V1.0 at full throttle into a tree. Not my finest hour, piloting-wise!

Haaaa, well, if you glide it and it's looking good, you might want to be prepared to push the edf to full throttle and keep going. Hand tossing and glideing a jet might prove to be a fatal move for the jet... I guess only you can be the judge of that choice... haha
@Captain Jay , yeah i know, but even a jet should get a glide, or something similar too it., even if would glide long. You still will see something about how it function in air.
