Weather is just not going to allow spray painting in my un-heated garage for months so did a simplified tape job. Since I have no artistic abilities I borrowed your scheme!

Still on the bench, I will use it with a 1500kv bc2836-6 with 9*6 on 3s as a pusher version.
Rest to glue the winglet pods and the nose part.

Sorry for posting on a old thread, though I would like to ask.
What are all the electronics needed to make this jet and would it be possible to add retracts to it? If so, what kind of retracts should work? I’m in a position to finally make some jets and plan to start with this one!

I use a turnigy 2826 2200 kv motor with a 6x4 prop and a 2200 3s up front to balance cg. You could certainly go with a bigger motor.

Thats as a pusher though, as a 70mm edf the details are on the initial post

are retracts possible to put on this jet? If so, could you point me in the right direction? Would appreciate it!
Is it possible? Yes. Is it a good idea? Probably not. With EDFs weight is everything so adding them would really just bog you down. Toss in the extra complexity, and such you’re better off just buying a molded foamy at that point or making a composite foam core model. Do you fly off of grass?

‘Thank you for your recommendations!
You could use JPHobby gear I suppose. If you do add it, make it strongly attached to lite ply
Unfortunately JPHobby stuff is quite expencive, perhaps I could try to reinforce the belly.
But at that point you’re better off buying the hobbyking skysword
Where I am, if you want to ship RC planes, it’s normally around the same price of the plane itself, plus if I did crash it, I would be able to repair it with relative ease.

Working on a 6mm depron 74% version for a 64mm edf(waiting to arrive), fuse from this plans and wing&elevator from old plans, can i mount the edf in the Center fuse instead of Rear fuse? Just wanna to use battery a little back for the CG, thankz for the plans, this jet flies great fast, already made a 70mm a mount ago!
