Ok, I thought of this last year when the guys went to their first Maker Faire but never got around to posting it. How about building a large DTFB plane capable of carrying a functional 3D printer?
So we know they can build a plane capable of carrying blenders, toasters and even a microwave. We also know they can power a full size microwave while in flight so what is the challenge here? How about having to 3D print a small part while in flight and delivering it to one of the guys to "repair" a part on their plane or quad copter? Or have it print a part while performing 3D maneuvers?
Seems like if nothing else, it would be a cool plane to take to all future Maker Faires!
