cheapest miniquad possible

Hi there my name is Paul and i currently fly planes and multi rotors. I have just gotten the fatshark teleporter v3 and dont to risk any of my other quads learning to fly. So my question is what is the cheapest 250 size mini quad on the market. If it is cheaper i dont mind building as im used to my quads and hexcopters arriving in a shoe box from china. my other problem is that i can only order from hobbyking. I like the look of this but it comes with a battery and because of that the shipping to New Zealand where i live is 68 USD and for me that is way to much. My budget for this quad is 200 nzd 160 USD for the whole project.
I just need a recomended parts list of gear that works.
If you guys could help it would be great.

If you want cheap but usable, I'd probably go with the FPV250 frame, either the Turnigy re-branded Emax or DYS 1806 motors, and the 12A afro or Blue series ESCs (Depending on whether or not you're comfortable flashing the ESCs). The price shouldn't be much different than that proposed kit, but it's something you'll be happy with for quite a while without the urge to replace it.

Yep, that looks like a good shopping list. You'll be quite happy with that quad.

The KK2 mini is a pretty solid flight controller. It's exactly the same as the larger one, just smaller. Compared to APM it has a greatly reduced feature set, but it's got everything you need to fly.

Another option in the same price range is the Naze32. I've had great luck with baseflight and the Naze32 boards.

The big difference is the KK2 has the LCD and buttons so you can change things without a computer/tablet, and the Naze32 is a little more flexible.

I was too slow to order and the motors just went out of stock. Are there any other motors that would work well? What are the multi star motos like?

The 1704s are a bit on the under-powered side. The 'Baby Beast' motors definitely won't be underpowered, but they're 50% more expensive than the DYS motors. You can get the DYS motors at banggood with free shipping if you're okay with shopping somewhere other than hobbyking:

Colours are different, but they're the same motor:

If you buy from banggood, they have a couple coupons right now. 'bestbg' will give you 8% off, and 'xmas3' will give you $3 off.
