Hello I just got my first edg plane and when I throttle up the edf makes a clicking noise like it’s hitting something even though it’s clear and the motor only moves in the 0% throttle position

The motor only spins when the throttle is off???
Sounds like you may have the throttle reversed.

so I got the throttle to work finally but now the throttle is reversed and when I reverse the switch it puts the throttle at 100% no matter where the actually "switch" is

Reset your throttle channel to what ist was. To change motor direction you simply need to swap two of the three motor wires to make it spin the other way.
Once you do that and it is spinning in the proper direction be sure to do a throttle calibration. REMOVE THE FAN BLADES. Turn on your radio then put the throttle stick to full. Plug the flight pack in and there will be some tones played. when you hear the tones slide throttle all the way down and the esc should reboot and be calibrated.
