I had never built a balsa plane before but why not!

Fuse, elevator and tail came together quickly

The ailerons were tough as you can see the components were very small.

The wings took some time but they cam out nice as did the rudder and elevator.

The final covering work came out very nice looking and was easier to do than I thought it would be.
So here it is ready for the motor and it's maiden flight.

I have opted for a separate receiver battery and use a volt meter mounted on the fuselage to monitor the voltage level along with a switch that way if any thing goes wrong with the ESC or motor I have controls that still work.

NOW I NEED GOOD WEATHER!

That looks really nice, V-tech! Today is NOT the day to maiden that thing - my house is creaking from the wind. What a way to mess up an otherwise beautiful day for flying.

Did you decide on a power system, yet?

Yep, I am using Turnigy D2836/9 950KV Brushless Outrunner Motor with a 10x5 prop. 2200 mah 3s battery, 35 amp ESC. It feels like it will be sufficient.
