Trying to connect my elrs tx12 to a lemon rx receiver with the ft aura what setting to I need to set up on the tx?

Your transmitter does not have DSMX capabilities in other words it will not work with Lemon receivers you have ELRS only. You would have to look and see if there is an external multi-protocol module that fits that radio or use a ELRS receiver.

Do you have any recommendations? I was thinking the er5 but I should just be able to plug in the arua right?

No you need a receiver that supports SBUS to use the Aura Light.
