Good afternoon! Anyone come up with a good way to add a rudder to floats? Just trying to figure out the best way with out spending $10 on a kit. I flew my Scout on floats this afternoon and it was difficult getting it back to the dock due to the wind.
E flite rudder assembly $5
Use a flexible cable, connect one end to the arm then run it along the float and up into the model. Then connect to a servo, you should only need a rudder on one side of the floats.
Similar principle but they used a steerable nose wheel to actuate the float rudder. You can achieve the same by using a separate servo inside the model attached to the cable.
here is one way to solve it. A waterudder going down from the rudder it self. If dont wanna connect to the rudder, its a rudder w/servo in one of the floats, an option (dont necessary need ruddersteering on both)
