Good luck, but I’m sure it will come out great.
Good luck, but I’m sure it will come out great.
I have a few flights on mine so far, and with the recommended motor and prop, it flies great, one of my favorite Eclipson planes actually. My only complaint, and it’s really just a nitpick, is a wish it had a removable wing. If they ever offer a paid version with a removable wing, I would definitely pick one up.
Hi tomlogan,
I have a few questions for you. I am planning to print the Go 1 Wolf myself. This will be my first 3D printed plane. I plan to use PLA filament. What parameters should I start with on the printer ? My printer is a Ender 3V2. I received my files for the plane yesterday. I have not open the files up yet. Does the files have parameters for printing listed ? I could use a lot of help. I am a rookie when it comes to 3D printing.
Thank you for any help,
Al
First and foremost, make sure your bed is level.
Second, take the easy way: When you unzip the archive, use the PLA gcode files, they are already prepared for you so you do not have to worry about that. For me I print one piece at a time. It might seem like you could print two small pieced at a time but that can cause stringing.
Print the entier fuse or wing at once so you get some gratification that it might look like an airplane is being built. Don't try to do it at once. Take your time and enjoy the ride. If 1 piece prints poorly, reprint it. PLA is inexpensive. Save the bad piece to practice glueing or painting on PLA.
Lastly, have fun. This is a hobby, not a job. Treat is as such.
Correct. G-codes are already sliced and ready to go.Hi tomlogan,
Thank you for the help and the kind works of advice. I hope I understand what you have told me. So I don't need to use the slicer to get the files ready for printing like you have to do with things off of Thingiverse. I will try to print some of the small parts and move up to the bigger parts. I will also print out (not to be confused with 3d printing) the part page so I can see how the plane goes together.
Thank you again for the help, I hope your plane is coming together the way you are hoping for.
Al
Had the same issue on that one, too. Just get the stl files out of the PLA folder instead of the g-codes and print them one at a time.
The spinner has an infill density of 10. Greater details in the downloaded doc and on the web site. View attachment 236343
Pictures? Maiden? Video?Hi tomlogan,
Thank you again for the help. Your pictures work great. I don't have the computer skills to even post pictures. I was able to slice and print out the spinner. I probably don't have the correct infill. My spinner looks fragile. One flight and probably it will break. I am learning more about my 3d printer with your help.
Thank you again,
Al
