Plans printed, tiles and cut out, ready to be transferred to foam.
(12 inch ruler for scale)
Moving along nicely, just need some poster board and electronics and it will be ready to go

Pilot skills necessary: ~1? (Not sure, experimental build)

And yes, this build should only be 3 pieces, right wing, left wing and fuselage. It will be powered off an 1106, 4500kv motor on 2s with 2 9gram servos.
EDIT, 2/11/19: build complete minus electronics,
Flew pretty well on 3s considering the 10mph winds I had to fight (penny on wingtip is there to balance out the battery). Hoping for a nice calm day to give it a true flight sometime soon, todays flight was mostly just fighting wind.

Sportster is ready to fly! Dual rates and expo set, waiting for a good dry, calm day. Just looked at the forecast, Saturday looks to be my only chance , I’ll try to get the mini EZ ready to fly by then because the rest of the week after that looks cold and wet . But hey, at least there is going to be one day to fly this week .

Thanks, the dollar store I went to didn’t have white poster board, so I had to use the blue, but I kinda like it.

I don’t think it matters when you start, as long as the builds are started and completed in February.
