Pictures
IMG_4612.JPEG IMG_4722.jpeg
Plans - https://www.eclipson-airplanes.com/gö1wolf (free to download)
Reason for choosing this plane - wanted to see if this one is good to recommend to noobs to 3dprinted planes
Estimated build time
Detailed build log

How did the build go (1-simple, 5-complex)? 2
One of the simpler builds for a 3d printed plane as there are not so many parts to print

How well did it fly (1-easy, 5 hard)? 2
As its a powered glider doesn't need much throttle once its in the air.

Color scheme: Orange stripes.
Maiden Video: See detailed build log above
Summary, dos and don'ts: Pay attention to the throws especially the ailerons.

Reason for choosing this plane - built their original Model B but prefer larger planes as they are easier to fly and easier to see.

Cool! I built the Wolf with normal PLA. At first it flew just ok, but two adjustments made it fly great. Initially I had a SunnySky 2212-980kv with an 10x4.5SF and that felt a little underpowered. I switched to a SunnySky v3 (blue) 2216-1400kv with a 9x6. Now it feels powerful and fast with nearly unlimited vertical. The other important change I made was to use the aileron deflection recommendations from Eclipson. Initially I did 30 degrees up and down. With that, there was a disturbing amount of adverse yaw. When I switched to the 20 degrees up and 6 degrees down that get recommended, then it flew great!

In summary, I didn’t listen to their recommendations initially and it didn’t fly great. But then when I listened, it did much better. 😂

Build-ruary challenge day 29 of 29

Never even got started on this build and the challenge ends today. I did get at least one plane built and flown though.

A deceptively simple challenge. I love the ambition you took on this year. 3D printing is considered by many to be ambitious undertaking to complete just one. Congratulations on successfully getting on complete and flying. It looks and flies great!

I always look forward to what you are working on.
