I gotta say, looking at their rundown @their website they seem to be covering an awful lot of good information.

you can read all the books you want. books are great, i read them everyday.

but looking over your questions since you joined, i don't think a book will help.

it seems to me you're stuck on the fence, and no amount of reading is going to help.

sometimes you just have to jump in the pool and get wet.
Ok

idk ive watched a lot of videos but i think something i could access more would help too
If it were a real plane i would go that way with the books. but in this case you are entering a hobby which is more like trial and error. A book will not tell you how to deal with a plane that you launch away from you and them you turn it around toward you and everything is inverted your left is right and your right is your left. don't overthink it. Here is like built, fly , crash , learn and build again. and most of all have fun.

Chapter 19: First Flight From my experience can say that this book is indeed one of the best for beginners. I started rereading it not that long time ago because I needed it for my uni course, and I can say it's very helpful. But still, even with this book I still needed some help with my paper, so I started looking for some additional info online. I needed to write not only a review, but also a summary of an article, and after some time of searching I came across this full guide which helped me out a lot. I found the recommendation of this page somewhere online too, and I think it's great that there are some forums where you can ask for recommendations, and people will recommend such useful sites and resources.

This book is indeed a good one. I got it not that long time ago, but I can say that for the beginners it's one of the best.

I have to agree with them all. YouTube, this forum and just building and flying will get you a long way.

all of the above

LOL... Just noticed this original post was from Feb 2022. Oh Well, for anyone else with the same question......

Half the fun of this hobby is building the planes that you fly. The great thing about building a Flitetest foam board plane is that they are fun to build, easy to build, and cheap to build. And if you crash it you are not out that much, just pick up a few more foam boards from Dollar Tree and build it again.
The down side about buying a BNF or Hobby plane to learn is that when you crash it, (and you will crash it), you are out a lot more money and the hobby gets more expensive replacing hobby planes.
You can simply buy some Dollar Tree foam board and some electronics, download some plans, then cut out and learn to build your own plane. When you crash it, in most cases you just use your glue gun to do the repairs or if it was a bad crash, for a few bucks of Dollar Tree Foam Board you can build another.
Anyway just a suggestion.

Here is maybe a place to start.
Ft Simple Scout - Easy to build easy to fly. Very stable.
Just need some Dollar Tree foamboard, some electronics (motor, servos ESC, Receiver, Transmitter- All Available on Amazon), a box cutter and a Hot Glue gun to get started.
You can print the plans on any printer. and there are always people here that can help with questions.

Plans can be found here: https://forum.flitetest.com/index.php?resources/ft-simple-cub.38/
How to print out the plans:

Other foam board plans by Sponz. : https://forum.flitetest.com/index.php?threads/sp0nz-plans-index.17136/

Or the Speed Build Kit Here:
https://store.flitetest.com/ft-simple-scout-wr-952mm/

Maybe check out this video.

One thing I would suggest is to find someone or group in your area that can help with flying lessons.
Picking up a transmitter and flying an RC plane is not as easy as it may look.
But once you get the hang of it, it really is a lot of fun.
