I’m on spring break so here is some pushrod fabrication.

Running into a problem. Whenever I connect my transmitter to my receiver it auto corrects the servo to where I get little to no upward elevator. I have the trim all the way back and disabling the gyro doesn’t do anything. Is there anyway to fix this? I can’t program the throws and stuff of the servos either.

Can you remove the servo arm and center it manually?
I had this happen once and discovered I was using the throttle channel instead of a control surface channel.

Yes I can. I fixed it though turns out my heat shrink tubing was hitting part of the enppenage. (Hope I spelled that right.)

Only took me 7 Light Years to reach this stage. Controls move well. Time to build the wing, I’m going to leave the fuselage uncovered for the maiden to save weight, and I don’t want to spend a lot of time covering just for it to crash.

Dry fit each part as I go, do some trimming here and there… Apply glue and put in place, I also used a speed square to make sure the ribs were nice and straight up and down.

Slight warp as always. Not pretty but it’ll work.

Still not pretty but I pulled the warp outta it with some steam.

Wings are done, probably the prettiest ones I’ve ever built had to pull a warp outta the right wing too. Time for the center section.

Looking good! Tissue paper covering is an art. We always get better with practice.

80 Grams flying weight. Might add some more spars to the center section of the wing though.

Was very tail heavy. She’s ugly but just might fly.

Well there’s the maiden flight. Haha little nosy heavy and a bit underpowed. If I get bored enough I’ll fix it. It was fun to build and cheap too already had the rc gear so it was around 20 bucks.

Aww that's too bad. A little nose heavy is good for the maiden flight. I always glide test airplanes before attempting powered flight. Glide testing and trimming reveals small problems before they become big ones under power. Glue it back together and try again! It's only balsa.
