Help!!Fpv tx's keep burning up

So I bought a boscam 5.8ghz tx and rx of the net and let it sit there for about a week before I started to play with it. When I did I hooked up all the connectors as read on the instructions. However, when I plugged it into my zippy compact 2000mah 3s battery I seen smoke and a red ember on the tx. So, I couldnt wait to get flying again so I ordered another 400mw tx instead. When I hooked this one up in the same order the same thing happend. So to prevent burning another one, Can anyone help me on this? The only system I have left is a 400mw 1.3ghz tx and dont want to ruin it as well.

did you have the antenna on when you hooked it up?

Please post pictures of your wiring. As many photos portraying as much info as possible is best. Include your current wiring harness and your smoked TXs too.
