I don't know how to delete a thread but turns out the problem i had before is gone

Hi, I'm about to build my first RC plane but i don't have a soldering iron and the plane i want to build says that i need one, however the only piece he soleders in the video is strobe lights which I'm not going to be using so there is a chance i might not need one. First off, how do I know if the items I'm buying need to be soledered? And second, is there any way I can get away with building a plane without soledering? I know that flite test have a few power packs that don't require soledering but they are too expensive for me and they don't include lipos.
Here is my equipment, on the pictures it looks like the motor and esc have bullet connectors but I'm not sure.

the motor and esc already have bullet and battery connectors, so you're good there.

rx and servos come with connectors.

the only issue i see is that you need to order a battery with a connector to match the esc, which is a deans connector.
otherwise, you'll have to cut it off and solder on a matching connector.

when you order batteries you can usually choose the connector, but sometimes you have to shop around.

You can build a plane without soldering, you just need to be very careful when you are buying your components to make sure everything is going to match up. The connectors must be compatible. The bullet connectors come is several sizes, make sure the stuff you buy has the same size.

Soldering a a very useful skill. If you are going to continue in the hobby, learn to solder. Don't try to solder with a cheap iron. I struggled to learn to solder for a long time. Then I bought a temperature controlled soldering iron, it was like magic, now all of my solder joints are prefect. With the correct temperature and a little flux anyone can solder.

Little warning. Im not sure if this was a mistake or not but i ordered 2 batteries from zop power and 1 of them arrived with 0 volts and the other one caught fire whilst charging.not sure if this happens alot but just so you know i guess.

no, it does not happen a lot. 0 volts proly means very old, and catching fire is either defective or incorrect charging specs.
yeah, maybe stay away from zop

Oh wow, that does not sound very promising.. i already ordered and i think it's to late for me to cancel. I the future i will try to stay clear of cheap batterys.

It turned out that i have a soledering iron, that's why I tried to delete the thread. I'm not sure if the soleder is any good but I'll try my best. Thanks!

Alright. In this thread many people have told me that the zop battery can be dangerous and it won't even match the ESC. Do you have any recommendations on a good battery?

If understood correctly the ESC has a dean connector and my battery needs one aswell or is it the other way around?

the esc and the battery do indeed need the same connector, a male and a female. And for the battery I recommend turnigy nano-tech from hobbyking. The batteries are cheap and reliable (assuming you treat them right) and wil last quit some time.
