is my motor to fast for a plane

i mounted a 10/6 prop on a trx 2.5r car motor but the motor spins at 40000 rpm max throttle (no prop) is that to much

i mounted the prop to the crank NP but im worried about wreaking something so i havent started it

Actually, that engine would like an 8x4 or 7x4 prop, it's roughly equivalent to a .15 sized engine.
