Lost Quad

New member in our club mentioned he had lost an expensive Quad and Gopro in a woods I know well 2 mo ago , so after 30 minutes of exhaustive searching (I'm old) I easily found it. Hope I can upload a sad picture.http://forum.flitetest.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=36860&d=1419824291

Ouch, definitely looks like it's been sitting out there for a while. Are any of the electronics still good? Hopefully you can find the owner and return his investment.

I just can't even imagine the mind of mindset that would drop that much on something - then give up looking for it so easily. Let alone not take basic precautions like putting their contact info on it. Then again I have a hard time imagining the mindset that leads to buying DJI in the first place. I know it's a lucrative market...but I just couldn't bring myself to be involved with it.

Returned it to the new CLUB member ----He told me it was completely full of mud but the Gopro still worked and was able to retrieve the final footage of the crash.

Pah, it's merely a scratch. Just fill it up with this magical stuff Peter was using in the waterproofing electronics episode and it'll be good as new.

Good News! He brought it to the club meeting and was able to save everything and it looked like new!

See if you can get final footage from it. Interesting story without but VERY cool to see what it saw before it sat.
