Nasa with a twist

Everyone always loves seeing the space shuttle trucked around on the back of the 747. I know it is common/easy to drop a plane from another from its belly. What I want to see is a plane that can launch from the top of another.

Parts to this challenge would be getting a plane that can takeoff and handle the payload of a second plane on top (not a micro stik or similar something we want to see fly). Then during flight, the top plane (under its own power) is released and flys away. No cheeky flip to inverted and drop the top plane.
