naze32 with Frsky-RX

I have a Naze32 and bought a Taranis-radio. It came with this receiver: X8R
( http://www.frsky-rc.com/product/pro.php?pro_id=105 )

I hooked the receiver to the FC, using different leads.
I now wanted to switch from the usual PWM-signal, and multiple wires, to the use of one connector, using PPM, as i did in the past with my spektrum-receivers.

It now seems that the FrSky X8R does not support PPM ..
I think I undertsood that FrSky uses SBUS in stead.
But now, I must be missing something obvious for sure, but I seem not able to connect the Sbus-signal correctly to the naze32 (using cleanflight).
Where do I go wrong. What should I check?
thx in advance!!

naze32 inverts the s-bus signal so you need a signal inverter when using s-bus from a frSky RX. There may be other solutions to this now. it was a while ago I looked at it.

Actually the Naze32 doesn't invert it which is the problem because it doesn't follow the spec (or so I understand). You have to add an inverter so the Naze32 gets the (wrong) signal it expects.

There are cables and hacks to to make this work.
