Need help with parts list for FT Mustang build (from plans)

This is my first FT build so shamelessly I'm going to ask for a little help here rather than keep posting lots of separate questions. After the first build I'm sure I'll be self sufficient. I'm not that clued up on the electronics side of things as most of my other RC things are slope combat/soarers. I can probably deal with the TX/RX side of things no problem (will come to that later) so just need help with what parts I need to order. I'm UK based so would probably be looking to order most of the parts from the HobbyKing UK warehouse.

I've compiled a list of what I think I need, it may be wrong or it may have parts missing or there maybe substitutes that you have found work well, which is why I'm here. Here's my list:

DT Adams Readi-Board (on order)
Crossweave tape (already have a load)
White poster board (local Hobbycraft store?)
Black poster board (local Hobbycraft store?)
Balsa for Firewall (local Hobbycraft store?)
BBQ Skewers (local store)
Velcro (local Hobbycraft store?)
Wheels (probably just order some from HobbyKing or eBay)
Glue gun (I already have a little Stanley one with hi/low temp)
Glue sticks (will Stanley duel temp ones do?)
RX (was thinking an ORANGE 6ch off ebay to match all my others?)
TX (I have a DX6i already)

Control horns (do I buy plastic ones or make the balsa ones, which is stronger/better?)
Pushrods (if using balsa control horns 0.81mm piano wire should be OK but if I use plastic horns what size wire is needed to suit the holes in 9g servo arms? or does the linkage stopper mount to the control horn then the piano wire goes in to that?)
Throw gauge (this is on the build plans I believe?)
Data sheet (where can I find this?)
Landing gear wire (what can I use for this?)
Linkage stoppers (where do they go, and what size is needed?)
Prop (not sure what size I need, power pack C states 10x4.7 but when ordering the Mustang you can add 9x6?)
Servos (power pack C states 6x 9g servos, that right? which ones should I get?)
Motor (what size? which one?)
ESC (what size? which one?)
Batteries (what size? which ones?)
Servo extensions (how many? what length?)
Servo Y-lead (how many? what length?)
Contact adhesive (which one?)

So any help with any of that lot would be really helpful, especially using HobbyKing UK as reference. With regards to the power set up I guess I don't want anything too slow as I'm not new to flying things BUT at the same time I don't want anything bonkers fast as I already have a 3000kv powered wing for all out speed so I guess with this plane I'd rather have a good balance between having medium speed and a decent flight time. I'm not in to scale flying so not really looking for a slow gentle flyer.

Again sorry for what are probably very noob questions but as I said this is my first FT build so would like to get all the parts ordered correctly upfront so I can concentrate on the build itself. I've had to order 50 sheets of the foam board in order to get some to the UK so I'm sure I'll get plenty of practice as I'll have to make a load more planes to make the order worthwhile!

DT Adams Readi-Board (on order)
Crossweave tape (already have a load)
White poster board (local Hobbycraft store?)
Black poster board (local Hobbycraft store?)
Balsa for Firewall (local Hobbycraft store?) Use light plywood for this. 1/16” works well.
BBQ Skewers (local store)
Velcro (local Hobbycraft store?) Yes
Wheels (probably just order some from HobbyKing or eBay)
Glue gun (I already have a little Stanley one with hi/low temp)
Glue sticks (will Stanley duel temp ones do?) That glue should do just fine.
RX (was thinking an ORANGE 6ch off ebay to match all my others?) Sounds good
TX (I have a DX6i already)

Control horns (do I buy plastic ones or make the balsa ones, which is stronger/better?) Buy, or cut from plastic. Also dental picks with the flosser make good control horns. The light ply is also good for this.
Pushrods (if using balsa control horns 0.81mm piano wire should be OK but if I use plastic horns what size wire is needed to suit the holes in 9g servo arms? or does the linkage stopper mount to the control horn then the piano wire goes in to that?) FT kits come with 1mm push rods. Usually the linkage stopper goes on the servo control arm and “Z” bend goes through the control horn.
Throw gauge (this is on the build plans I believe?) It is.
Data sheet (where can I find this?) Watch the build video. The data and the planes recommended components are also listed in the FT Store.
Landing gear wire (what can I use for this?) 2mm wire or a little thicker.
Linkage stoppers (where do they go, and what size is needed?) The smallest linkage stopper that will accept the pushrods. I think the FT Linkage Stoppers are 1.8mm (I think).
Prop (not sure what size I need, power pack C states 10x4.7 but when ordering the Mustang you can add 9x6?) You can use either. If you are going with PP “C” or comperable, the 9x6 propr is a great choice for that plane.
Servos (power pack C states 6x 9g servos, that right? which ones should I get?) If you are going to order from HK, just get the Turnigy 9g servos. They work well. If you are real abusive, the metal gear servos work well but aren’t necessary.
Motor (what size? which one?) Try the NTM 2830 1100kv. That and your 9X6 prop will perform well.
ESC (what size? which one?) Your preference there. I usually use a 30A in most applications. Unless a smaller ESC is provided as a combo with a motor.
Batteries (what size? which ones?) Just about anywhere from a 3S 1300mah through a 2200mah 4S. I would probably start out with a 3S 2200mah.
Servo extensions (how many? what length?) That should be covered in the build video.
Servo Y-lead (how many? what length?) Again, build video.
Contact adhesive (which one?) I only ever use tape and hot glue. Colored packing tape to decorate, reinforced shipping tape to build and clear scotch tape for the turtle decking.

for the mustang the only possible use of a y-harness would be for the ailerons - so you just need 1.

So all I think all I need now is:

Paint stick, what dimensions are these?

Battery, I was looking for a 2200 2S 30C from HK but they are out of stock in the UK warehouse, will this 25C one do? http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbykin...ipo_Pack_UK_Warehouse_.html?strSearch=2200 2s

The paint sticks are about an inch wide, about a foot long and maybe 1/16 thick. You should be able to find them where ever you buy house paint. I am thinking you are not in the USA by the use of the pound symbol for the total you spent.

I'm in the UK, I can't find any similar looking paint sticks here so was thinking of using balsa, but FT must have used paint sticks for a reason, they are probably a lot stronger than balsa so I'll have to just find some kind of replacement.

Does the rest of my parts list look OK?

And maybe go with a bigger motor? This video shows the Mustang with a 2200kv motor and looks about the speed I'm after.

Is 1/16th definitely right as thats only just under 1.6mm?
