Hello! My name is Mike. I've started building again after 50 years! In those days, my brother and I were flying competitive FreeFlight; Wakefield; towline glider; and most of all free flight scale. I have great memories of the AMA Nationals then. Now days: I'm building again (I like to build from scratch or balsa kits] and wanting to get experience in RC. It is all Greek to me now and I am working hard to learn. I live in Montana, so finding a flying field will be easy to find. I am glad to be here and I'm sure you all will be hearing from me a lot, and I hope you don't get tired of my posts! LOL

Welcome back! If you haven't already built with foam board you're going to love it - two day builds instead of 4 months. And the best part is when you crash you laugh instead of cry :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Hi Mike
Don't worry there are some who "build" scale in foam board (there are different types of sheet foam) and laugh is about all you can do thinking about the time it takes to fix if you break it!
For example the RC Antonov AN2 in my Avatar is built from thin 3mm sheet foam.
