Hi all!
It's been a while since I posted. 15 years ago I wrote R/C Desk Pilot, and in recent year the display quality of VR headsets has finally reached a point where they're good enough for R/C simulation so I just had to do it all over again :)

Introducing the new sim for the Meta Quest 2/3: RC Pilot Trainer. It's still pretty basic, but I'm working on it full time and would love to hear what you would like to see added.

Just like R/C Desk Pilot, RC Pilot Trainer is free to download and play with all its current and future features, only this time additional airplanes are available as a small In-App Purchase.
You can get it on the Meta Horizon Store:

One thing that is hard to test for me, is the compatibility with the wide range of controllers out there, so if you try, I'd love to hear whether it works for your controller or not.
There's also a discord you can join to talk about the sim, ask questions, or follow the development:

Thanks!
Davy

In the latest update you can now build your own plane inside the simulator.
The flight characteristics are calculated dynamically taking everything into account: wing shape, profile, sweep, angle, incidence, control surfaces, propulsion, weight, center of gravity...
I hope this will get more people interested in the physics of flight and maybe even the building part of our hobby.
The full functionality is available for free, but the number of save slots you get depends on your purchased airplanes.

I couldn't find any Build guides, so I made one. I tried to cover everything building an FT Explorer minus the front nose it wouldn't have taken another 25 min.

thanks for the great Sim
