To update on the airborne carrier.
It busted. And took much wind from the sails.
I did bring it to FF '24.
Fixed it. And gave it a catch toss. Unfortunately the catcher tripped some on his back step and he tumbled... With the plane some. Thankfully James was OK.

I chose to move on, resigned to rebuild it, and keep shuffling ahead. Good news was Josh Bixler saw it and gave me a way to ensure FF would see progress and coordinate with me if it gets close to the vision.

Did you see this? Would like to try that with a smaller version of my Bloody Wonder mods with a tailhook.

I would think just a flying plank barn door would do it. Like a full 4x8 sheet 1/2" thick blue foam house insulation flying an 8' wingspan. Round some edges, whole couple sheet of foamboard for tail surfaces. String tape for stiffness. Maybe even get by with a pair of "C"pack motors.
