Perdana's A-10 Build

Here's the start of a A-10 Warthog/Thunderbolt II from Julius Perdana (aka Paper Replika). This one may take a little while...

Right off the bat you'll notice there's a lot of lumber to cut out. The wings are designed to be removable, so much of the interior of the wing is reinforced with wood. If you have a laser cutter that can handle thin plywood, this build is for you. I spent some quality time with the new scroll saw yesterday, but still have a lot more pieces to go.

Fortunately, we are deep in build season here in the Pacific Northwest. Days of wind and rain outside means NOBODY is flying anything for a while and there's lots of time to work on this baby. I'm planning on using 70mm edf 6S (as called for in the plans) as well as adding the nose cannon powder effect.
