Power Pack 25Amp BL Heli S throttle has dead top end - a second PP no issue

As above - I have a Flite test Power Pack married to a flysky fs-i6x RX and a mini trainer. The throttle stick when on full throttle (about 1/2 inch from top of range) it dies causing the plane to stall. Moving the stick back that 1/2 inch and power is returned. Tough when trying to engage a grandchild in learning. When replace, connected a spare Power Pack the throttle issue disappears providing power from bottom to top of stick movement.
My question is, can this issue be overcome in some way or am I dealing with a faulty PP?

First calibrate the ESC, most common cause and easiest to do.

To calibrate the ESC:

1. Remove your prop
2. turn the Xmitter on
3. bring the left stick to full throttle
4. plug the battery into the ESC
5. wait for the beep
6. lower the left stick to minimum throttle
7. wait for the beeps
