Power receiver from ATmega32U4

Hi guys
I'm working on a tricopter project, and I'm very close to get it up in the sky but I hit a problem. I just received the ATmega32U4 in the mail today, flashed it with multiwii 2.2 and it works in GUI software. Then I started soldering wire to connect to the receiver, get everything hook up and when I hook the battery up to bind, the light for the receiver just does not blink (it suppose to). I disconnected them and use one BEC from my ESC to try binding and it works fine. I feel that there is a problem with the ATmega32U4, am I correct? Or do I need an external battery? I use only the signal for 3 but I use all three wire for throttle (as the instruction say) and it does not work. The light blink one and stop while it suppose to blink continuously. I have a E-Fly transmitter and receiver btw.
Please help me it you can, since this is my first time.
Deeply appreciate
