prop/motor/ecs sizing and electrical connections

i'm really enjoying building the three beginner swappables. had about a dozen flites and about as many crashes. one thing I know is i'm thankful for prop savers and that I need a lot more props. anyway, the more I do the more questions I have. what I wanted to ask is if there are any sizing charts or tables for the prop/motor/esc that I could lookup and some info on the different types of elec. connections that are common . tia

I have been wondering about this myself. Doing some searching, it seems to be more complicated than what can be put into a simple table. But I have found some tools that will help you with the calculations. One such tool can be found here:

This month's Model Aviation Magazine has an article about electronics that I did not find that useful (covers terms well but does not go into a lot of detail). The part I found most interesting was that it suggested using ElectriCalc or MotoCalc. I do not know anything about these programs but thought it might be worth checking out.
