Fly yes... land no.

The other night I was posting some shots of my Bixler2 and a certain Monkey asked me for more details.
Naturally this led to me starting a forum post and a future article. ;)

I've played with more expensive and completely useless head tracker before so when the new Quanum unit came out I ordered one right away. Built in compass with a computer application to setup and define limits. Plus 1/2 the price. Wow.

The 2nd is on my T-28 but will be moved back to the twin prop Wraith now that it if flying again.

The new tracker is a lot smaller then the prev unit I purchases and the improvements are well worth the cost.

The 180 degree pan and tilt is pretty nice as well. I can view my wing tips!

2 quick videos of the panning.

I did have to fiddle a tiny bit with the pan servo to get the alignment correct.

More details on the setup, considerations and naturally flight video to come.

Anyone want to buy my old HobbyKing X-1000 Advanced Head-Movement-Tracker Gyro?
