Help! Sea Otter motor options

I was initially planning on fitting an Emax GT2215 09 1180kv motor on the Sea Otter, but now wondering if its a bit over kill. I have a spare Emax CF2822 1200kv that's what they used in the original build video ?
Any recommendations with respect to the CF2822 1200kv, is it under powered or just adequate? if so am I better sticking with the original plan of using the GT2215 ?
Alternatively I have a spare Volantex 4023 1050kv motor which might be a good alternative to both of the above options ? Only problem is this motor usually uses either a 11x6 or 12x6 prop, the Otter only has space for an 8" prop.

im not familiar with your Sea Otter build. weigth, size, eg.
A 2822 motor would normally be stronger/more thrust than a 2215, since bigger. Then can power up a bigger prop too.

The 2215 with a 8x6 prop on 4s would be solid!
Maybe a 8x7 on 3s

Glad I never bothered fitting the 4023 motor in the Otter, having just mounted one in the Bushwacker, it would have been too over powered. I went with the XA2212 1000kv instead, which is a much more sensible option ;)(y)
