Selecting an electric motor equivelent to the Nitro engine being used

Today while on the site of e-flite, I come acrossed a chart that can help you pick out an electric motor equivelent to the nitro engine that may be on your plane.

To use this chart, find your desired motor equivelent (eg .60 sized engine), Power 60 BL, 400 KV, and all the relative information on the motor will be on the line.

That's what those numbers are supposed to represent. The E-Flite Power 60 is supposed to be the equivalent of a .60 size two stroke glow engine. etc. Power 46 to .46 size glow. There are several places that have motors that go along those specs...the Tacon Bigfoot series is one and the Turnigy EasyMatch series is another.

Altitude hobbies also has a .46 equivalent electric motor. I'll let everyone know how it performs. I hope to maiden the balsa plane it's in soon!
