Sky Train

Pick an airframe (I was thinking the very versatile wing) and run two spars, one on each wing tip that extend forward and rearward a few inches past the front and rear of the plane. Put magnets at the ends of the spars. Try to link up as many "cars" as possible and create a sky train.

Just a thought.

No. Each plane separate. Linkup happens in flight. Flexible spars, magnetic tips. Flying conga line style.

But that flying snake is pretty cool. Now I have another "someday" project.

When I get to a place where I can fly again, I will attempt to build a Versa Wing outfitted with the connection mechanism. If I can get one to fly well, I will build another and see if we can get two to link up. Once we achieve a successful connection, it will be a matter of adding more planes to the mix. Gonna need multi colored planes and people not afraid to crash some foam.
