Hey guys! I need help on something: i just got a soldering iron, but the solder that it came with doesn't work too well. What type of solder should i get for basic stuff like soldering battery connectors? And also where can I get it from?

You probably got that lead free solder which is difficult to work. I use 60/40 lead/tin flux core. Apparently its totally not eco friendly these days but it is the absolute best for this type of work. Just make sure you use it in a well ventilated area. You can get 60/40 from all good electronic stores.

60/40 is good, but 63/37 is better as will go from liquid to solid faster without the annoying plastic stage. Simple rosin flux on everything helps too.
