I would use minimal amounts of ribs and use a sturdy box spar with plywood reinforcements along the length of the spar

So, I’ve been thinking about making a 1/4 scale super cub. This is what I have so far

Okay, so putting that behind me, anyone have an idea of how I can make this from foam?

I would just use the plans as a template, trace out the patterns and use the speed build techniques to shape the foam as needed.

No need for ribs, but I'd certainly beef up the spar. The way they did it in the recent giant Corsair build video would work I think.
