Tiny Trainer on Steroids!

Unfortunately today this plane has been decommissioned ;(. It took off just fine and when I came in for a low pass across the runway I lost complete elevator authority. The plane which came in at a considerably high speed hit the ground so hard that it bounced 4-5 meters back into the air. Just to skip over a bunch of bushes, a car and some trees. If things couldn’t have gone any more wrong it was at that point that the wings decided to clap and the plane started spinning towards the ground… but wait then something else happened the wings suddenly reopened and the plane was able to sort of level itself out and glide down on the other side. Unfortunately I don’t have it on film and the hit was just so hard that it took apart the entire front of the plane.

Any how this plane has seen some fixes and considering the damage I will not fix it and will just replace it which something new, or maybe not!? After all it’s a tiny trainer :).

What do you say?
Stuff happens. Sometimes it's exciting, right?! I think your TToS is worthy of a new build.

I have aa FT TT that I intended to be put in combat this year at FF '24 but never made it in. It was made by my Buddy's daughter at FF '16 and has endured my abuse all these years and been VERY instrumental in my transition into LOS flying.

I did FPv it one time which lead to a wing fold under a high G maneuver

I think it's time to really kick it up a few notches and see what she can do!!!

I don't think that there is a plane verstile as the TT. It's just an amazing ariframe. I'll have to fix this huge one, and build myself new normal one too.

So the huge TT is on the work bench and getting a new nose and some wooden spares on the re glue of the wing.

This is what i have so far.

So it won’t be the prettiest of planes nor will it win the upcoming beauty contest but it will fly at least one more time!!!

Last thing that is left to do is secure the main servos that one can’t live without with some zip ties. Which servos? The elevator and rudder ones.

Need to throw servos at my TT sport wing. Only flown it 3ch up to now. Once that is done, expect something a bit different, more like stupid/crazy.

yeah, my tt with sport wing was almost uncontrollable in my amateur hands. should have stuck with the 3 channel, it would still be in one piece

Oh trust me, this one has been reconditioned in many ways, and many times. LOL. I just found the other wing parts last year.

BRING FORTH THE SACRIFICIAL RECLAIMED SERVOS FROM THE NANO SKYHUNTER WHICH DIED IN COMBAT @ FF`24

build, fly, CRASH (we all do), REPEAT!!!!
I see some small servos... (Oh for a regular sized one.) Well if you need the torque here's how I avoided going bankrupt.

When I went big with the 300 noob Wonder, I didn't have the money for the high speed high torque servos typical of the size... So I went with the ground vehicle 20 or 35kg of torque servos on Amazon for 4/$20 USD.

While not snappy, they do the trick and didn't break the bank.

Last Saturday the huge TT flew again. It flew amazing... Like it never ever crashed. Still with all that being said sometimes you got to let go, so I gave it to a friend to have fully ready for flight. Told him that when ever he crashed it to give me back the electronics that survive. He is supposed though to hook it up with some landing gear :).

Video of it's last flight under my belt is soon to come.
