To tri or to T? That is the question

So I decided to fly on a 20mph wind with 30mph gust lol needless to say the carried the tricopter away crashing rly badly yea I know it was stupid to fly in those conditions oh well time for a new frame. Is 30" motor to motor to big? I had it at 24" but it seemed to wooble when adding a phone or camera I wanna have more stable when carrying pay load. Will the Hquad be more stable?

The build is done! Now i got tons of power with the new motors. Now to set it up tried to hover but it just feels realy twitchy how can i smoth things out?
