Spektrum 2000 mAh LiIon Battery for DX6 Tx - plug wire frustration
Just purchased the Spektrum 2000 mAh LiIon battery for my DX6 Tx. It is a tight fit in the battery compartment. I tried to gently push the plug wires into the small compartment located behind the plug in the radio, but the tight fit on the battery caused the wires to crimp and as a result it stripped away the insulation on the wires exposing the metal inside.
I know some flyers use the Turnigy 4000 mAh LiPo battery as an alternative to the spec battery. I usually go with the manufacturer's recommendations on electronics, but in this case I might need to make an exception.
I am wondering if there is a trick to getting those wires in to that little compartment behind the plug without crimping them.
