Turnigy 9XR DOA

Got a 9XR for Christmas but it was DOA. Powers on, but the screens blank. Hobby Kings sending out a new one, but of course like most things on there it's backordered. They said I can keep it, not sure where to start on a fix. Any advice? It powers the transmitter module, buttons make the right beeps, but theres just no display. Won't work as a buddy box either. The trainer cord gives it power but thats it.

its possible that the displaycable pops a little bit out of the board.
just check the connections.

Hey Nigel. Nigel was good enough to get me pointed in the right direction on my return. Still looking for a solution on a repair. I took it apart and checked that cable, no luck. I'm gonna double check that it's not just a screen contrast issue when I get home. Thanks again.
