USB power through a RX? can it be done?

I have a camera set to start recording once it receives power through it's usb port.

My question is, is there a RX to usb adapter/switch out there?
This way I could activate my camera by sending a high signal through an extra channel.

Thanks for any help.

There are lots of radio controlled switches but I think you have to solder the function to a USB connector yourself

You will only be using the Gnd = pin 4 and the VCC = pin 1. It is the VCC = 5 Volt you have to switch.
The Gnd and the 5 Volt you may grab from the RX Black (brown) and Red - but be sure to have a BEC that is good for both the rx, servos AND camera.

It would probably be best for you to use a seperate BEC for it, as most USB devices tend to take as much power as they can get until their onboard battery is full... hence all this posibilities of buying USB "fast chargers" which all they do is supply more mAh. If you don't seperate them you coulb end up with problems like brownouts.
