Used apprentice s rtf

I am contemplating purchasing a used apprentice s rtf in very good condition other than a small crack in the tail section that has been glued with foam glue.
If I were to buy this airplane would it be advisable to reinforce the tail crack with tape? If so, is there any type of special tape that should be used?

If it feels solid it shouldn't need the tape, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to be on the safe side. Normal packing tape should work fine. Good luck!

I agree with @Jackson T, packing tape will make a great repair, just don’t use duck tape.
