Water Plane Build

Hey fellas, and ladies,
I am new to threads and such, so I did my best to narrow down where I posted this new thread. I am looking for help on scratch building a water plane. I like on a lake dock and it narrows down, a lot, where I can fly "safely". I know the motors are water proof, but are there any tips on water proofing the rest of my equipment? Also are there any good cratch builds I can print and make so I can get into the hobby more?
Thank you for your help! Love the site and this community on here!

Welcome to the forums. This is one of the most friendly places to be. So as far as waterproofing your electronics Flite Test did a video on it
and here are the different items they used http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009H1AMG/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0009H1AMG&linkCode=as2&tag=flitetest-20&linkId=5IZ2HDR6RVOP4QIT, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003HFTI0S/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B003HFTI0S&linkCode=as2&tag=flitetest-20&linkId=NBC55OU5ZZYLPNHY, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009GYRWW/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B0009GYRWW&linkCode=as2&tag=flitetest-20&linkId=BK2JNHN4LZOZH7UC, http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001E8BBX2/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B001E8BBX2&linkCode=as2&tag=flitetest-20&linkId=VI35DGWCMKZ2ROHW. And as far as the plane themselves here is a video on how to waterproof your dollar tree foam planes.
As far as good scratch builds, Flite Test has a lot of good ones. Unfortunately they don't have any float planes yet because dollar tree foam alone does not like water. I hope this helps.
