Will this transmitter work with my Fatshark Goggles?

I broke my Fatshark transmitter setup and need to replace it. All I see when I look through the goggles is a dark gray screen when I try to power up the video transmitter. I'm a complete noob when it comes to frequencies, channels and all that technical stuff that I should get round to learning about really, so I would like some advice of what to get as a replacement.

I have Fatshark Predator V2's. The transmitter and camera I have been using came as a package with the Fatshark goggles.

This is the transmitter and camera setup that I have found as a possible candidate for the replacement:

If someone with good knowledge of this area could help me, I would be very grateful - I'm looking forward to FPV flying this Christmas!

Yes.

The 32 channel VTX's include the fatshark's tuned frequencies -- the first 7 channels of the "F" band will hit the 7 channels in your Pred V2's.

About the only thing that VTX won't hit cleanly is the raceband frequencies, but the middle 6 raceband channels has a corresponding channel within a few MHz. The only raceband channel your V2's will hit well is F6 (3MHz off of R6). This only matters if you "go to the races", but good to keep in the back of your mind.

Why doesn't everyone use raceband? I'm asking because it seems like spreading the channels is only logical, but surely there is another downside?

Because only the gear made in the last year or so supports it.

For instance, NONE of my gear will.

Just received it in the post, tested it and it works marvellously :) many thanks again, now I get to fly FPV over Christmas.

What a shame :p

It is what it is.

When something new is created that is "better", it takes time for users to phase out the older gear and replace it with new, and "holdouts" that keep the older gear in service aren't always "missing out". My FPV rigs fly just as well as any raceband gear that would replace it, so other than needing a chart to find a "close enough" channel to fly with a crowd at an event, no sense in replacing it just to pick up 8 more center frequencies.

Heck, I still fly two bladed props. I'd rather size for maximum length to run longer than pick up that extra bit of punch (and puff) at the cost of flight time . . . but I'm also not flying to spend the least amount of time on the track either. Build and fly to your goals, not someone else's ;)

Okay... so I broke my setup again. Major crash story - the wings folded. It was like something out of a movie as the two meter wingspan motorglider came smashing down with an extremely loud bang!

So, evidently, I need to get my hands on a new transmitter and camera setup. Unfortunatly this one https://www.amazon.co.uk/Eachine-700...1&keywords=fpv that I got previously is no longer avaliable, much to my annoyance as it worked flawlessly. I've looked around and cant find a similar all in one kit (including the camera, cables and transmitter). Any ideas? I need to be able to get it from a UK site.

Many thanks.
