I need to save up some more money to get the balsa for the tale surfaces so I’ll probably be posting next week or later this week!😄😁

I did this on my Fledgling. I used FB with the paper stripped off. 3/16" balsa sq. went around the edges and then I sheeted this one with 1/32" balsa. For 1/4 scale, I would recommend using 1/16" for the sheeting & maybe make weight savers like I did in the second example shown. You'll find that for the materials used, the weight will be fine. It's the glue that gets soaked onto the balsa that adds the weight hence the weight saving holes means less area for glue. Never did it like this for that size, but I would think that with the balsa sheeting, It would end up being pretty strong.

Just a little experiment I genuinely think with quite a bit of sanding this could work looks pretty good it’s extremely light obviously I would reinforce it with hard bossa and spruce or maybe just fiberglass it

Is that EPS foam (foamular)? If so it is plenty strong if you laminate it. If you don't laminate it, it cracks easily.
