Keeping with my recent build style, upscaled the Master Series P-47 to 150%. I powered it with the 4258-460Kv motor and 100 amp ESC running a 6S lipo. We flew it prior to painting and it’s a gentle giant that could fly scale and do basic aerobatics.

That’s beautiful buddy! I was going to build a giant sea duck but after watching that…. I’m conflicted. Also I love the name.

You zoomed in:). If you decide to build it large:
1. Horizontal and vertical stab are both doubled.
2. I 3d printed the formers found on thingiverse and scaled them up in my slicing software. Length and width only.
3. I designed the 3d printed cowling and firewall. I can drop them in the chat if desired.
4. Because of the added nose weight between the cowling and larger motor, the battery needed to be moved back significantly and is no longer mounted in the nose. I enlarged the rectangular cutout in the wing that is under the removable hatch and added a foam board platform and 3d printed battery mount. The batter sits flush with the surface of the wing. (See pic)
4. Finally, I don’t like the skewer and rubber band hatch securing design. I designed and printed the screw insert and hatch screw to secure the hatch. (See pic)
