40” Wittman Tailwind

The simple lines of the Wittman Tailwind are nicely suited to FT build methods. But talk is cheap. It’s time to cut foam.

The faint lines of the cuts (needle cutter details here) should give you an idea of just how simple the aircraft is.

Back in '76, the first time I had a tissue job without wrinkles was on a PeaNut Nesmith Cougar ( the predecessor to the Tailwind ) . I came in third on static & first on endurance. Ever since, I've been toying with wanting to do an R/C version. Can't wait to se this one done. What is the WS ?
