90GT Micro quadcopter altitude drop when flying foward or roll L/R is it normal

Question is regarding my 90Gt micro quad
I have it in angle mode (as I have read Its the best place to start as a beginner)
But when i fly forward or roll left or right the quad looses a fair amount of altitude and have to increase throttle a fair amount to maintain Height
Is this the norm or do i need to select a setting in betaflight to correct this .?
Thanks.

Wake up! Time to fly!
That is one of the draw backs of angle mode and why experienced pilots recomend not to bother with it and go straight to acro mode.

In my opinion Horizon mode is much better if you MUST use an assisted modes. At least with that you can manage the sensitivity to get away from the lurching you are fighting because its set too high.
