That's a great idea. I usually whittle away at that pesky glue with a hobby knife and hope I don't cut myself, and it really stinks. This looks wonderful.
I usually rub the tip of my hot glue gun on the servo glue to loosen it. Same idea, but I already have a hot glue gun. A lighter works too. I've heard that rubbing alcohol works really well too.
Clever idea. Any glue left on the iron should peel off easy once it cools down.
I have a hot air gun that I use for heat shrink tubing. I use it to heat a hunting knife (thick blade holds more heat). Once the kife is hot it cuts the hot glue away like butter.
