Aero L-39 Albatros V2 - EDF Jet

Thanks for the reply, that's what I mean. The difference between the fuselages in the V1 and V2 planes. It is possible that I did not understand.

I wish you luck.
Some of my mods include:
1) I put in angled blocking plates to keep air from going into the aft portion of the nacelles, funneling it to the fan.
2) instead of the flat bulkhead ahead of the fan, I doubled the width and put in a v shaped bulkhead.
3) Using the extra space of the V I cut the air intake area in the fuselage much further towards the actual external intakes.
4) I obviously have done wingtip changes.
5) I doubled the thickness of the vertical stab on the 6s version. (considering the same on H-stab)
6) I added a rudder and I am glad I did in crosswinds and at low speeds.

I would peel paper from the inside of the Nacelles, and some of the inside of the wing.
I peeled a lot of the paper from the nose pieces as well.

Hello, any chance you have pics of mods 1 2 and 3? Or can you elaborate a little further for me please. Mostly how you did the block offs in the aft section and what you mean by double the forward bulkhead.

Kind regards,

J

Does anyone know how to do the canopy and turtle deck on v2? Tried twice now and can't get it
On the canopy, I started from the back and work forward but NOT attached to the base. Then take the base and make sure it fits in the space with the correct angles in the fuselage - glue the score cuts so that it matches those angles. Lastly, attach the canopy to the canopy base, first the front, then the back - then evenly on both sides, but do not worry about what hangs down below the canopy base. When it is cool, cut the excess of the canopy all around the base.

For the turtle deck, attach the front angle piece to the turtle deck base. Then attach the turtle deck to the top of base starting at the front. Wrap the edges down, glue, then cut off the excess below the base. Then attach it to the fuselage.

Thank you very much I will do it that way. I was doing the base angles first then attaching the canopy to the base but focusing on getting the edges be flush with the bottom of the base. I won't worry about the overhang think that may have been my problem

Thanks for the awesome jet Grifflyer. Here is mine. It has an x-fly 64mm, 50 a esc and used a 2200mah 4s. Had decent speed and flight on the first flight but was kinda doggy so I cut a cheater whole in the top of the fuse and she came alive. Also did an ugly and ghetto fixed gear set up

Omg same its been on shelf for 7 months now
I ended up getting it nice and flush. Just have to glue the canopy to shape and then glue it to the base plate. There will and should be overhang below the base plate. You can trim that off and sand to flat and then everything should be flush. Going to make another one here in a few days and will post pics of the process

I finished it today, I have to say that for me it was the most difficult to build, and in fact it's not very nice up close. I'm a bit off weight, 560 grams in flight order. I'll do the test on Saturday. If it flies, I'll paint it

getting reaady to cut and build. Planning on using 55 mm phase 3 edf (old school 3 blade.. flew 22 oz f16 to 80 mph) with dons wicked on 4s. My question is..are we removing paper more than originally designed? i mean what paper do we remove for weight savings ? im using DTFB and this is my first foamboard scratch build
