Having second thoughts about the Hornet, might be closest thing I will get to a Mosquito in a while

What do you think the odds of this flying are? It started out life as an FT Explorer (it was a rough life) the wing motors are setup as flaperons with reversible esc's. Im fairly certain that wing motors are not strong enough to hover but I thought it would be an interesting experiment.

I give it a 20% chance of flying and a 100% chance of it being epic either way!

I just wish the motors came with a chart with the specs for different prop sizes, voltage, thrust, ect. Like rimfire does. I'll check the max amp for the motor and see if I'm good with my amp meter I guess.
Just bench test it with a watt meter attached, couple short burst to full throttle check motor temp and also see what amps you are pulling to make sure you have enough esc and if the motor isn't getting hot run it a bit longer until you are confident it can handler it or is it to much prop.

That's the plan!

Not fetched anything with me to work on tonight I am going to be bored. Good news though finished adding nose weight to the Bushwacker its now nicely balanced at the CG point. The motor is unbelievably better particularly with the 12x6 prop, I should have no problems with power now :):):)(y) LOADS of THRUUUUUSTTTT  as the actress said to the Bishop.
Just need to finish off varnishing the areas I touched up with paint.
I also finished off balancing my mk5 Tiny trainer and for the first time in the history of building FT scratch builds, I had to add weight to the tail o_O never happened to me before. I painted it last night so apart from a coat of varnish its also virtually completed.
I am planning to go flying Friday and arranged to meet up with my new MPB (model plane benefactor) John, he wants to try out my Radiomaster transmitter. So made him a deal he can try the transmitter if he maidens my Edge for me ands gets it trimmed. I will fly most things but the Edge looks really good and don't fancy crashing it so it makes sense to let someone more experienced in 3D planes maiden it first. Still not had chance to fit the Lipo sensor yet, or set it up on my transmitter so I will have to get that done tomorrow.
Also planning to take the re-fitted Bushwacker, Spitfire and the F22 Raptor along with the Edge should be a fun day out.
Shame I have everything I need now to finish off the Sea Otter and was planning to work on it tonight, but was running late. So didn't have enough time to load everything in my car before leaving for work. That's another job for me to do tomorrow night, along with varnishing.

I just benched tested last night's creation, it is a little too windy to fly today. Everything went well the craft has a heavy battery in it and currently weighs 1200 grams with the "flaps" on it weighs 500 grams. My biggest concern at this point is one of the motors must not be completely straight it wants to yaw to the right slightly. Maybe I should stop building planes at 1 in the morning.
