hey guys i have a question could a 2212 1400kv motor work on a ft mini plane.... scout... corsair...biplane... etc...
our f power pack motor hasn't arrived and we can't find a well priced one again...
but we can get b power pack really well priced..... would this be possible?
i think we would run it on 3s..... 1500mah or 1100mah

you can, but 2212 can be overkill.careful with throttle

lol not at all pal, she’s not quite finished yet but enough to get her airborne 👍
I just can’t maiden a plane without colour 🤪
It's beautiful! First grape jet I've ever seen. ;)

Almost starting to look like an extremely boxy, really rough around the edges F-5. I'm certain it'll look more believable when fully assembled.
Hey whoever heard of a jet fighter with undercambered wings?!
Me. I invented it. :p I hope it works out. At this point for me I'm not interested in bitchin high speed maneuvers, just a good flying experience. Maybe start to high-alpha. And I bet it'll still be fast (for me) when I want.

Any advice, suggestions, concerns, criticisms are welcome.

So I've a question for those more experienced that I. I'm working on a BF109 with a 46" wing span, expecting to weigh in somewhere around the 600g range without the battery. Spinning a 2216 1120kV running 3S and probably a 10x5 prop. I've got a power meter to test with, but I'm curious about cooling. I was thinking to put the ESC under the power pod but I may have a challenge with a good cooling air path. Should I be really concerned with a good airpath? I was actually thinking (to be goofy) of using the cowl scoop as the inlet and the wing radiators as the outlet... (again, just to be goofy...) Anyone have thoughts of an amount of cooling? Thanks in advance!!
10 X 5 3 blade? Cool that motor and ESC. That's what everyone tells me. Opening the cowl vents and radiator exhaust... go for it! Also look for spots to hide NACA inlets. They don't have to be big to drive in plenty of air.

Not my best work but, certainly not the worst I've done. I'm really not looking forward to the nose and canopy although, I think I have a canopy from a wrecked arf that I can retrofit.

I'm still not sure what battery I'm going to use but I've narrowed it down to these three batteries. My plan is to use the 3.6 for 3d, the 4.0 for sport, and the 3.3 for something in between.

Here are my mistakes so far!

I'd go for the 3.3 for 3D flying. Technically it should be lighter and it has a higher C rating.
